Project Description

Osteospermum ecklonis

Common Names: African Daisy, Cape Daisy, Bleu-Eyed-Daisy.

Osteospermums originate from South Africa and are a very popular garden and pot plant. The name Osteospermum is derived from the Greek osteon (= bone) and Latin spermum (= seed). They are half hardy perennials, which means they are tender and won’t survive persistent frosts. The best way to preserve them is to take cuttings or to overwinter them in a frost free greenhouse or conservatory.
